Brooke Stoehr

Former Louisiana Tech standout player Brooke Lassiter Stoehr is in her second season at UALR.

Stoehr helped the Trojans to their highest win total since the resurrection of the program in the 1999-2000 season.  She assisted with coaching the guards, helped with recruiting, pre-season individual conditioning workouts, coordinated all film exchange and worked the Joe Foley summer basketball camps.

Stoehr came to UALR after one season as a graduate assistant with the Florida State women's basketball program where she performed similar duties.

The Portland, Ark., native comes from a winning background at Louisiana Tech where she was a two-year captain and starting point guard from 1998-2002.  Her teams compiled a record of 119-16 during her four-year career which included four trips to the NCAA Tournament, two Elite Eight appearances and one Final Four appearance.  Louisiana Tech also won four regular season and conference tournament titles during her career.

Stoehr twice earned all-Sun Belt Conference honors and finished her career as the NCAA all-time career free throw percentage leader at 91.5 percent. 

Stoehr was named to the PARADE All-American and was the Arkansas and Southwest Region Gatorade Player of the Year for 1997-98 at Hamburg High School.  She also was an all-state performer in basketball, softball and tennis during her high school career.

On Aug. 14, 2004, Stoehr was married to Scott Stoehr, also an assistant coach in the women's program at UALR.
