Four Trojans Golfers Named All-American Scholars

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.?The National Golf Coaches Association named four UALR golfers to the All-American Scholar Team.  Sophomores Robine Fagerberg and Sheridan Graham and freshmen Christina Petersson and Sara Wikstrom were honored for their academic and athletic accomplishments throughout the season.

The four Trojan golfers helped UALR cap off a successful season with a fifth place finish at the Sun Belt Conference Championships after winning the Islander Spring Classic, the North Texas/UALR Golf Classic, and the Missouri State/Payne Stewart Memorial earlier in the spring.

Wikstrom received All-Sun Belt Conference honors after tying four fourth at the Sun Belt Conference tournament.  She was named Sun Belt Golfer of the Month for March.

To be selected as an All-American Scholar, a student-athlete must have a minimum grade point average of 3.50 and must have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
