LITTLE ROCK, Ark. ? The National Golf Coaches Association unveiled its annual list of the top academic programs in the country on Monday, with the UALR women's golf team ranked 11th nationally with a 3.608 team grade point average.
Â
UALR senior Sheridan Graham, junior Sara Wikstrom and sophomore Mallory Fraiche were each named to the NGCA's All-American Scholar Team, which was announced earlier this month. The trio helped the Trojans take second at the 2008 Sun Belt Conference Championships, the program's highest finish since winning the event in 1999, as each player finished in the top-20.
Â
UALR, which was ranked 18th in the nation a year ago with a 3.593 team GPA, had five of its eight student-athletes record a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2008 spring semester.

Founded in 1983, the NGCA is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The NGCA represents nearly 500 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
