KANSAS CITY, Kan. - For the second consecutive year,
the UALR women's soccer team has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America for their work in the classroom, it was recently
announced by the NSCAA. A team grade
point average of 3.0 or higher is required in order to be recognized, and the
Trojans posted a team GPA of 3.26.
The NSCAA
is the largest soccer coaches' organization in the world. In addition to a
national rankings program for colleges and high schools, NSCAA offers an
extensive recognition program that presents nearly 10,000 individual awards
every year.
A total
of 630 soccer teams (194 men, 436 women) were recognized by the NSCAA
for the 2009-10 academic year.
In
addition to being recognized in 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons, the UALR soccer
team was previously recognized in the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons.
