Results HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. – The Little Rock women's golf team used a strong final round to place third at the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic at Diamante Country Club on Tuesday. The Trojans turned in a team score of 294 in the final round to finish with a three-round total of 896.
"I would like to thank Diamante Country Club, Joyce Woods and all of the supporters who made this a wonderful event," head coach
Bridgett Norwood said. "We would not be able to host this annual event without their help."
Missouri State took home first-place honors with a team score of 887, including a tournament-low round of 287 on Tuesday. Central Arkansas placed second with a team score of 890. Little Rock was third, followed by Houston Baptist and Eastern Michigan, who tied for fourth place at 900.
Central Arkansas' Emma Svensson finished at 8 under par to take home individual medalist honors. Thelma Beck of Eastern Michigan and Little Rock's
Stina Resen tied for second place at even par. Three individuals tied for fourth place at 1 over par.
Tuesday's runner-up spot gives Resen three straight top-10 finishes. The senior has 10 top-10 finishes since the start of the 2014-15 season.
Pernille Orlien was next in line for the Trojans, placing 24
th at 11 over par.
Emelie Blennow tied for 25
th at 12 over par, including a 1-over 73 in the final round.
Hannah Ward used a 1-under 71 on Tuesday to jump 27 spots into a tie for 32
nd place. Ward finished the tournament at 14 over par.
Sabrina Bonanno finished at 16 over par.
Competing as an individual,
Lucy Owen finished at 26 over par.
Tuesday's action concludes the fall season for the Trojans. Little Rock returns to action in February at the Texas State-hosted All There August Challenge.
