CollegeInsider.com PollÂ
LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock climbed all the way to No. 2 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll released on Monday evening. The Trojans received four first-place votes and trail only Gonzaga in the site's latest rankings.
Â
In addition to Gonzaga (23) and Little Rock (4), just Valparaiso (2), Saint Mary's (1) and Wichita State (1) received at least one first-place vote. The Trojans are just three weeks removed from making their debut in the poll at No. 15.
Â
The Trojans are one of eight undefeated teams in country, and one of just six at 8-0 or better. The 8-0 start to the season has included wins over schools from the Mountain West, American Athletic and BIG EAST conferences while establishing new program and Sun Belt Conference records. It is the Trojans' longest win streak since the 1988-89 season and is tied for the fifth-longest in program history.
Â
Of the group of eight unbeaten teams, Little Rock (4) and SMU (2) are the only two with multiple road victories.
Â
Little Rock is back in action Wednesday night when it takes on Central Arkansas at the Farris Center in Conway. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
