CollegeSportsMadness.com Release

LITTLE ROCK – Senior Josh Hagins has been named the National Mid-Major Player of the Week by CollegeSportsMadness.com. Hagins picked up the honor after his standout performance in Little Rock's 66-44 win at DePaul on Saturday night to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Additionally, Hagins was also named the CollegeSportsMadness.com Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Hagins scored a season-high 19 points and handed out eight assists against zero turnovers in Little Rock's 22-point victory over the BIG EAST opponent. He finished the game shooting 6 of 10 from the floor and 6 of 6 from the foul line while adding two steals in 36 minutes of work.

Hagins keyed Little Rock's 18-4 run to start the second half that grew the Trojans' nine-point halftime lead into a 23-point margin. The senior guard scored six points of his own while adding two assists during the second-half spurt that effectively put the game out of reach for the Blue Demons.

The Airline HS product entered Saturday's game with a Sun Belt-best 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, which improved to 3.7 after Saturday's performance. He ranks second in the league in assists (5.1) and second in free throw percentage (.880). He now has at least two steals in all but one game this season and ranks fifth in the league at 1.9 steals per game.

Hagins and the Trojans are back in action Wednesday night at Central Arkansas. The contest tips off from the Farris Center at 7 p.m.
