Desmond Gulley put up two third-place finishes in field events and
Zodani Francois was second in the 55-meter dash, highlighting Little Rock's participation in the Arkansas State Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The meet was the Trojans' first in more than six full weeks.

Gulley took third in the long jump with a distance of 7.29 meters (23' 11"). That number is an indoor personal best for Gulley and puts him in third place all-time in Trojan history. Freshman
Nghia Dinh was 12th with a distance of 6.04 meters (19' 9 3/4").

The next day in the triple jump, Gulley repeated his third-place performance by going a distance of 14.58 meters (47' 10"). He missed out on winning the event by less than a full meter.

Francois qualified for the 55-meter finals early Saturday afternoon, running the race in 7.74 seconds. In the finals, he moved up four positions, taking second place overall with a time of 7.56 seconds. That time breaks his own personal best from December at Little Rock by 0.06 seconds and keeps him in second all-time in Trojan history in the event.

Isaac Lalang, fresh off an appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championship, took fourth place in the 5K on Saturday evening. Lalang finished the race in 15:12.92, 16 seconds out of first place.

In the men's 3K, newcomer
Alberto Herrera was fifth in 9:00.72, just missing going under the nine-minute mark. He took fifth place with that time. Herrera was also the Trojans' only participant in the mile, finishing 13th with a time of 4:35.05.

On Saturday afternoon, the Trojans had two participants in the 55-meter preliminaries.
Cory Martin was the top finisher in 12th place with a time of 6.69 seconds while
Terance Goodwin was 21st in 6.78 seconds. Neither qualified for the final later in the day.

Dylan Wood was the Trojans' top finisher in the 200, running in 22.36 seconds for fifth place.
Kendrick Dunn was 23rd in 23.28 seconds and
Cory Martin was 32nd in 23.51 seconds.
Terance Goodwin rounded out the Trojans' contingent with a 43rd-place showing in 23.86 seconds.

In the 800,
Kennedy Chumba took an eighth-place finish with a time of 2:00.69.
Kenneth Broyles was 16th in 2:05.02,
Methuselah Lagat was 24th in 2:07.52 and
Joseph Aguilar was 26th in 2:09.30.

The men's 4x400 relay closed the competition with an eighth-place showing in 3:26.75. The combination of
Travion Clark,
Zodani Francois,
Kendrick Dunn and
Dylan Wood helped the Trojans to that eighth-place finish.

Little Rock now has two weeks off before competing at the South Alabama Invitational in Birmingham.
