Five Questions: Emily Lytle

LITTLE ROCK – Freshman Emily Lytle has joined the Little Rock roster for the 2016-17 season. In high school at Memphis' Evangelical Christian School, Lytle averaged more than 20 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game.

What gets you hyped up before a game?
Listening to music, that's what I did before every game in high school. I tend to listen to a lot of Christian rap and I've been listening to a lot of NF.

What has been the biggest adjustment for you between high school and college?
Probably the getting in shape part. In high school it was more of just going over things, but getting in shape on your own here.

If not basketball what other sport would you love to play at the college level?
Volleyball, but I've actually never played it before. I've always wanted to. It just seems so fun when they spike the ball.

Outside of sports what do you do to unwind or clear your head?
I like to paint or draw whatever comes to my mind. I like to turn on the Pandora Gladiator station and just paint.

You're from the Memphis area, is it nice to know that family is close enough to come watch your games if they want?
I actually like it a lot because I'm far enough to be away from home, but I'm also close enough to go home. Since I don't live like six hours away I have more of a choice on going home.
