Holland Joins Trojans as Assistant Facilities Manager

LITTLE ROCK – Matthew Holland has joined the Little Rock Department of Athletics as its new Assistant Athletic Facilities Manager, Director of Athletics Chasse Conque announced on Wednesday.

Holland comes to the Trojans from Manchester, New Hampshire, where he was the Stadium Operations Assistant for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. While working for the Fisher Cats – a Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays – Holland was responsible for managing the cleaning crew, assistant in game day operations and securing the stadium after contests concluded.

"We welcome Matthew as the newest member of Little Rock's Team and look forward to his contributions to Trojan Athletics," Conque said. "Our athletic facilities host nearly 175,000 guests annually through a wide variety of events.  His help and oversight will ensure all of our venues are managed and cared for as we strive to maintain and enhance our athletic facilities on campus."

Holland will work as a part of the staff of John Evans, the Trojans' Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Events.

Holland is a 2014 graduate of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, where he played on the Wildcats football team and earned a degree in Sports Administration with a minor in business.

While attending Baker, Holland was an intern for the West Virginia Power minor league baseball team in Summer 2013 where he assisted in game day operations and promoted team events. After that, he worked in Tournament Operations at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, maintaining the grounds for nine fields and organizing the retail and concessions efforts in Summer 2014.

Right before his time in New Hampshire with the Fisher Cats, Holland was a stadium operations employee for the Birmingham Barons minor league baseball team in Birmingham, Alabama. In that role, he managed and set up for events, managed the cleaning crew after games and was an assistant clubhouse manager.

In his new role with the Trojans, Holland will help to run the Jack Stephens Center while taking primary responsibility over the Coleman Sports & Recreation Complex, Gary Hogan Field and the Trojan Fieldhouse.
