Five Questions: Destinee Pointer

LITTLE ROCK – This week's edition of Five Questions features Trojan freshman guard Destinee Pointer. She comes to the Trojans from Waxahachie High School in Waxahachie, Texas, where she averaged 16 points, six rebounds and three assists per game.

Outside of sports what do you do to unwind or clear your head?
I'll just go to sleep, but I also really like to vent to my mom. That can always clear my head.

What has been your biggest adjustment from high school to college?
The speed of the game as well as the offense. You have to react fast and think quick. In high school you just ran a play and everything was slow. You didn't have to read and react with your offense or defense.

After you're done with basketball, what's next for you?
I want to become an OBGYN. I like the medical field, science and learning about bodies.

What gets you hyped up before a game?
Music and the locker room has to be hype. We have to have hip hop music or dance music playing. Right now I would definitely be listening to 21 Savage.

What was it about Little Rock that made you decide to come here?
I want to win a championship, because I've never won a championship or a ring.
