LITTLE ROCK – The Trojan women's basketball team will be heading to New York City on Saturday to take on Fordham University in the Consolation Round of the Preseason WNIT, the WNIT announced late Monday night.

The contest between the Trojans and Rams will take place at 11 a.m. central time on Saturday at Rose Hill Gym.

Little Rock and Fordham both lost in the WNIT Second Round to set up their Saturday matchup. The Trojans fell on the road at Green Bay on Sunday while the Rams were defeated by No. 1 Notre Dame on Monday night.

Fordham competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference and will be the second A10 team on the Trojans' schedule this year. The other A10 school on Little Rock's schedule is Saint Louis, who the Trojans played in the Postseason WNIT in 2015.

Fordham went 14-17 last season. The Rams advanced to the Preseason WNIT's Second Round with a 13-point win over Furman in the first round.

Before they take on the Rams, though, the Trojans have one more game in front of them. Little Rock heads to Norman, Okla., to take on the Sooners at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
