Full Third Day Results
TOPEKA, Kan. – Three more school records fell for Little Rock swimming and diving on the final day of the Kansas Classic at Capitol Federal Natatorium on Sunday.

Laura Ruiz Astorga broke her own school record in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.14 — 1.2 seconds faster than her previous time set last season.  Jesse Baldwin swam a personal best for the event while
Charis Won and
Amanda Dreyer had a season best.

The 200-yard breaststroke record was broken twice on Sunday.
Imre van Huyssteen set a new school record in the morning's prelim with a time of 2:23.09 — breaking teammate
Nuria Gallego Murcia's record by a quarter of a second. Gallego Murcia earned back her record in the afternoon's C-Final with a time of 2:20.47. van Huyssteen improved on her prelim time in the B-Final with a mark of 2:21.24.
Ginger Bryant also set a new personal-best time for the event and finished 16th overall.

In the first finals of the afternoon,
Tori Fryar finished eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:19.40 — her third-fastest time in the event.
Kayla Grimm finished four spots behind her in 12th.

In the 100-yard freestyle,
Emma Doll had the top time in the C-Final with a season-best 51.89.
Courtney Coe and
Darby Harmon swam personal-best times while
Vasiliki Falaina,
Saidya Kistow,
Ann Kharlamova,
Courtney Goff and
Cassie Sanchez swam season-best times.

Jinson Kang had a season-best time in the 200-yard butterfly B-Final with a mark of 2:07.36 and finished 12th overall.
Isabelle Finzen finished right behind Kang with a personal-best time of 2:07.49.
Ashley Strohmeyer set a personal best of her own in the C-Final.

Little Rock closed out the Kansas Classic with a ninth-place finish in the 400-yard free relay. The quartet of Ruiz Astorga, Coe, Fryar and Doll came in with a time of 3:29.75.

Little Rock finished the Kansas Classic in sixth with 233.5 points. Nebraska came out on top with 975 points while Kansas came in with close second-place finish of 958 points. Iowa State, Northern Iowa and Northern Arizona's positions remained unchanged from Saturday as they finished with 520.5, 404 and 353 points, respectively.

For their great performances over the duration of the meet, Fryar and Kang were named Kansas Classic All-Stars. The honor was bestowed on the top two scorers from each team.

In total, it was a very successful weekend for the program as it saw eight school records, 48 season-best times and 31 personal-best times.

With the fall schedule out of the way, Little Rock will return to dual meet action at Southern Illinois on Jan. 14. Before then, the Trojans will go to Mesa, Arizona, for their annual winter training trip and will participate in the Citrus Classic occurring Dec.30-Jan.7.
