CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock totaled five first-place votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 – its most since first appearing the in poll 12 weeks ago. The Trojans are at No. 3 this week, trailing only Monmouth and Valparaiso.
No. 1 in this week's poll, Monmouth totaled 15 of 31 first-place votes to jump six spots from last week. Valparaiso, who was No. 1 a week ago, picked up five first-place votes while falling to No. 2. Gonzaga is No. 4 and earned two first-place votes. Wichita State rounds out the poll's top-five teams.
Off to its best start in school history, Little Rock will have a chance to match the program record for regular season wins (23) on Thursday at Georgia State. With six regular-season games remaining, the Trojans will have a shot at the single-season record for wins (26) before play starts at the Sun Belt Championship in New Orleans.
Little Rock's scoring defense (58.6 ppg) continues to rank first nationally. The team's defensive field goal percentage (.378) ranks seventh while its turnover margin (3.9) ranks 10
th.
