Resen Leads Trojans at All There August Challenge

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Little Rock's Stina Resen tied for fourth place while the Trojans took fifth at the All There August Challenge at Landa Park Golf Course. Little Rock finished with a team score of 893, just 15 shots back the winner.
 
Sam Houston State (878) took first place, followed closely by Middle Tennessee and Long Beach State, who tied for second with matching team scores of 883. UTSA claimed fourth place with a team score of 887.
 
Resen, who began Monday's final round tied for seventh place, used a 1-over 72 to move up three spots into a tie for fourth. She finished at 5 over par, four strokes back of individual medalist Julie Houston of UTSA. Houston carded back-to-back rounds of 2-under 69 on Sunday before shooting 5-over 76 Monday.
 
Long Beach State's Kassidy Teare (+2) and Sam Houston State's Sarah Black (+3) placed second and third, respectively. Sam Houston State's Heather Shake tied with Resen for fourth place.
 
Tied for fourth entering the final round, Sabrina Bonanno fell back to 16^th place after a 9-over 80 on Monday. Bonanno finished at 11 over par to tie with teammate Shania Berger, who carded a 3-over 74 in the final round.
 
Pernille Orlien placed 45^th at 20 over par. Emelie Blennow turned in a 9-over 79 in her final round to finish at 28 over par.
 
The Trojans are back in action starting Feb. 26 at the Rio Verde Invitational.
