LITTLE ROCK – This week's edition of Meet Your Trojans features baseball student-athlete Ryan Scott, a senior business management major from North Little Rock, Ark.

Scott hit .400 with four hits, a home run and three RBIs in Little Rock's opening weekend against Indiana State and Kansas.

What made you decide to attend UALR?

"It's nice being in your home city. I've always loved living in the central Arkansas area. It's really nice being able to have my family come to every game and support me. It's just a hometown feeling."

What are your favorite things to do in Little Rock?

"I like trying out all the new restaurants in Little Rock."

What's the best part of being a Trojan?

"Being able to represent Little Rock. It's very important to me."

What's something most people don't know about you?

"I really enjoy reading."

Who is the athlete you most admire?

"Tori Hunter."

Did you have a childhood hero?

"I'd say Dwight Turpin. He's a pitching instructor at my dad's batting cage, and I've looked up to him my whole life."

"What are some community service projects you've been involved since being in Little Rock?"

"We've worked with the Boys and Girls Club, and we've been numerous times to Franklin Elementary. It's a lot of fun."
