LR Climbs Five Spots in Final Day at Rio Verde Invite

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – Little Rock moved five spots up the leaderboard in Sunday's final round at the Rio Verde Invitational. The Trojans tied for eighth place overall after posting a team score of 300 in the final round.
 
Little Rock finished the event with a combined score of 910 to tie with Xavier for eighth place. Toledo won the tournament with a team score of 885, followed by Wichita State and UMKC in second place with matching team scores of 896.
 
Xavier's Hanna Lee finished at 1 over par to take home individual medalist honors. Toledo's Sathika Ruenreong finished alone in second place at 2 over par.
 
Stina Resen and Shania Berger both finished at 9 over par and tied for 24^th place. Resen carded a 2-over 74 on Sunday, her low round of the event. Berger turned in a 4-over 76 on the final day.
 
Sabrina Bonanno tied for 50^th place at 15 over par. Bonannno carded a 5-over 77 on Sunday.
 
Emelie Blennow posted the low round for Little Rock on Sunday, climbing 26 spots up the leaderboard into 62^nd place with a 1-over 73. Blennow finished at 20 over par.
 
Pernille Orlien finished at 24 over par after a 12-over 84 on Sunday.
 
Little Rock is back in action March 14 at the Oral Roberts/Stephen F. Austin Spring Break Invitational at Trophy Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
