LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock men's and women's basketball teams' seeds are set for the upcoming Sun Belt Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, presented by First Bank and Trust, at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, La. The women's tournament begins Wednesday, March 9, while the men's event starts Thursday.

Each game of the women's tournament will be carried on ESPN3. Every game of the men's tournament will also be on ESPN3, except for the Championship Game which will be televised on ESPN2.

The Little Rock men's basketball team secured its first-ever No. 1 seed and double-bye at the Sun Belt Men's Basketball Championship, meaning it will face either No. 4 seed Louisiana, No. 5 seed Georgia Southern or No. 8 seed South Alabama in Saturday's semifinals at 1 p.m.

The tournament begins with Georgia Southern and South Alabama going head-to-head on Thursday at 5 p.m. The winner will face No. 4 seed Louisiana on Friday at 5 p.m.

A win on Saturday would advance the Trojans to the title game set for Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Trojans finished the regular season with a national-best 27-4 overall record and a 17-3 mark in Sun Belt play.

The Little Rock women's basketball team earned the Sun Belt's No. 2 seed thanks to a 16-4 finish in conference play during the regular season. The Trojans will play No. 7 seed Texas State in the tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Lakefront Arena.

A victory in that game would put the Trojans in the league semifinal against either the No. 3 seed or the No. 6 seed on Friday at 2 p.m. The championship game is slated for Saturday at 7 p.m. and could pit the Trojans against No. 1 overall seed Arkansas State.
