Beach Invite Info | UCA Open Info | Mt. SAC Relays Info

LITTLE ROCK – The Trojan track and field teams are in for a busy weekend, as the group will be splitting into two groups and competing at two meets in California and one in Arkansas.

One group will head west, getting set to compete at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays on Friday and the Beach Invite hosted by Long Beach State on Saturday. The other group will stay closer to home, heading to Conway to take on the Central Arkansas Open.

Friday and Saturday's California events will be a showcase for the Trojans against some of the best track athletes in the country.

At the Mt. SAC Relays, Anika Charles, Emma Dahl, Bless Dupeh, Zodani Francois, Rickitha Hicks, Isaac Lalang, Carli Langley and Noora Wallenius will all take part.

At the Beach Invite on Saturday, Charles, Dupeh, Francois, Hicks and Dylan Wood will race for the Trojans. Francois and Hicks are the reigning Sun Belt Conference Track Student-Athletes of the Week.

Results for the Mt. SAC Relays are available online here, and the Beach Invite will have live results available at this link.

The rest of the team will remain in Arkansas and compete at the UCA Open. That group includes Cory Martin, Terance Goodwin, Eboni Smith, Christina Nickerson, Jessica Gray, Kendrick Dunn, Michael Perry, Nghia Dinh, Brittany Pinder-Jones, Jasmine Blunt, Akeia Joyner, Kenneth Broyles, Tre' James, Josh Jones, Methuselah Lagat, Kennedy Chumba, Alberto Herrera, Rebeca Solis, Sara Claycomb, Adela Hernandez, Angelica Jacobs, Brittney Brasuell, Tyler Kelly, Desmond Gulley and Tyra Gillam.

Those Trojans will all be racing and jumping on Saturday. Live stats for the UCA meet are available online.

Little Rock is coming off a very strong weekend at its home meet. Francois won both men's hurdles events while the men brought home five top-10 finishes in all events. On the women's side, the Trojans had a new school record set in the 4x100 relay, got five event wins and set seven new top-10 marks in school history.

The team will look to carry that success over to California and UCA on Friday and Saturday.

Following this weekend, Little Rock will gear up for its next competition at the Memphis Invitational. That will take place two weekends later on April 30.
