LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock has released its 2016-17 schedule, head coach
Bridgett Norwood announced on Wednesday. The regular-season slate features 10 events, including two Trojan-hosted tournaments, before the Sun Belt Championship in April.
The Trojans open the fall season on Sept. 12 at the Missouri State/Payne Stewart Memorial at Twin Oaks Country Club.
Little Rock does not compete again until the Mizzou-hosted Johnie Imes Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne on Oct. 3-4. Just four days later the Trojans begin play at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate. The three-day event will be played Oct. 7-9 at Highlands Ranch Country Club in Denver, Colo.
Two local events close the fall season for Little Rock. The Trojans head to Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro for the Lady Red Wolf Classic (Oct. 17-18). Starting Oct. 30, the Trojans compete at the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village.
The spring season begins with the Texas State Invitational at The Bandit Golf Course in New Braunfels, Texas (Feb. 13-14). The Trojans travel west for a pair of events, starting with the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz. The three-day tournament will be played Feb. 24-26. For the first time Little Rock will compete in the Fresno State Classic at San Joaquin Country Club in Fresno, Calif., March 13-14.
The Trojans return home to host the Little Rock/A-State Invitational at Maumelle Country Club starting March 27. Little Rock closes its regular-season slate at the Kansas City Shootout March 3-4 at Shoal Creek Country Club.
The 2017 Sun Belt Championship will be played April 17-19 at the Fighting Joe at the Shoals course at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
