Little Rock Core Values and Mission Statement

LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Department of Athletics has unveiled its core values of Greatness, Respect, Integrity and Teamwork (GRIT) and mission statement.
 
"Our mission statement and core values capture the traditions and expectations of Little Rock Trojan Athletics," Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said. "At the heart of what we do as coaches, staff and administrators is the student-athlete. Our focus will continue to be to compete for championships while mentoring our young people throughout their careers as we prepare them for life after athletics."
 
The core values correspond with a new mission statement that outlines Little Rock's path to success for student-athletes.
 
"Our mission statement and core values are what I believe all student-athletes should live by," SAAC President Quin Wilkes said. "If you are fulfilling every aspect of GRIT, whether it be in competitions or the classroom, then you are the true definition of a Little Rock Trojan student-athlete."

Little Rock Athletics strives for GREATNESS by supporting our student-athletes' academic and athletic endeavors while providing them with life skills essential to graduating champions.
 
We hold our staff, coaches and student-athletes to a high standard built on RESPECT for oneself, coaches, teammates, competitors, faculty, staff, fans and the community at-large.
 
We demand INTEGRITY be a part of everything we do in competition – on the courts and fields of play, in the classroom and in everyday life. Our student-athletes, coaches and staff will be taught to take ownership of their actions and to do what is right – even when no one is watching.
 
Little Rock offers a well-rounded experience based on TEAMWORK, loyalty and trust.  Through this, we are equipped to face adversity as well as to reach common goals together. Little Rock's Team is inclusive and values partnerships with the University, Little Rock and state of Arkansas to make intercollegiate athletics a key unifier in our community.
