Trojans Conclude Play at MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial

Results

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Little Rock placed 10^th at the season-opening MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial on Tuesday.
 
South Dakota State won the tournament with a team score of 896. UTEP, the leader through two rounds, placed second with a team score of 899. Oral Roberts (904) placed third. Little Rock finished with a team score of 932.
 
SDSU's Brenna Lervick took home individual medalist honors, finishing at 3 over par for the tournament. Oklahoma City's Kailey Campbell was the runner-up at 6 over par.
 
Hannah Ward was Little Rock's top finisher, tying for 26^th place at 18 over par. Peyton Weaver was tied for 10^th place through 36 holes, but a final-round 82 dropped her into a tie for 38^th place at 21 over par.
 
Pernille Orlien and Thea Wakeford-Wesmann finished at 24 over to tie for 50^th place. Emelie Blennow ended the event at 27 over par.
 
Little Rock returns to action with the Mizzou-hosted Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo., on Oct. 3.
