RUSSELLVILLE – Little Rock women's basketball coach
Joe Foley was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame for a second time at Tucker Coliseum on Friday night as part of the Hall of Fame's induction of the 1992 and 1993 Arkansas Tech Women's Basketball teams.

The Golden Suns teams of 1992 and 1993 – back-to-back national champions – were coached by Foley in his first head coaching job. Arkansas Tech had just one loss in 1992 on its way to an NAIA national title and repeated as national champions in 1993.

Foley had been previously inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fall as an individual in 2002.

On the Arkansas Tech on Friday night, former Golden Suns players, coaches and staff gathered along with fans to honor the national championship teams of nearly a quarter century ago. Players from the team, the ATU president and Foley spoke to the assembled crowd on the floor of Tucker Coliseum.

Foley left Arkansas Tech in and became the head coach of the Trojans in 2003. Since becoming Little Rock's head coach, Foley's teams have made the NCAA Tournament four times and the WNIT four times.

Foley's Trojan teams have won the Sun Belt Tournament championship three times, and he has been named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year on three occasions. He has 720 career victories.
