ZAPALLAR, Chile – Former Trojan
Matias Calderon earned his second professional victory on the Tour del Pacifico, winning the 2017 Abierto Cachagua at Club de Golf Cachagua on Sunday.

Calderon finished at 15 under par to earn the one-stroke win. The native of Chile shot 66-67-68 while totaling 16 birdies and an eagle in the event. His opening-round 66 was the low 18-hole score of the tournament.

Calderon recently finished his first season on the MENA Golf Tour. Over the course of six tournaments, the Santiago, Chile, native totaled three top-10 finishes and was the leading amateur at three events.

Calderon was a two-time All-Sun Belt honoree at Little Rock and twice ranked in the Sun Belt's top-five for score vs. par in a season.
