LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock's
Shanieke Watson picked up her first Division I victory as she won the women's 5K at the Little Rock Invitational on Saturday morning at Rebsamen Golf Course.

The race consisted of 102 runners with 13 teams present. The Division I schools competed against each other in a dual format while the non-D1 schools competed against each other in a traditional format.

Watson's winning time of 17:51.88 was 3.2 seconds faster than second place as she averaged 3:44.4 per kilometer.

Also earning a top-five finish was
Hunter Paul as she finished fifth with a time of 18:48.63.

Vianney Sanchez earned a top-10 finish as she placed seventh with a time of 18:58.14.

Freshman
Hannah Manning took 27th with a time of 20:31.12 while
Kim Boni took 34th with a time of 21:00.13.

Tyler Kelly finished the race 53rd with a time of 22:16.23, and
Rebeca Solis placed 60th with a time of 24:04.46.
Akeia Joyner rounded out the field for Little Rock as she finished 69th with a time of 25:19.42.

Little Rock ended up winning two of its four duals. The Trojans earned victories over UAPB (15-46) and Oral Roberts (19-36) while taking losses to Central Arkansas (27-32) and Arkansas State (26-33).

With the regular season concluded, the Trojans will now have two weeks to prepare for the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Boone, North Carolina.
