LITTLE ROCK – With two weeks of preparation complete, Little Rock's cross country teams will compete in the Sun Belt Championship on Saturday in Boone, North Carolina. The championship meet will air live on ESPN3.

The women's 5K will get underway at 9 a.m. (CT), and the men's 8K will begin at 10 a.m. (CT).

Little Rock's men last earned the team title in 2012 and also won the championship in 2001, 2002, 2007 and 2010. Little Rock's women last earned the team title in 2005 and also won the meet in 2001 and 2002.

The men's team took sixth last season as
Isaac Lalang had the Trojans' top finish with a 17th-place finish and time of 25:49.5 on the 8K course.
Imad Amenzou took 21st with a time of 26:02.7.

On the women's side, the team took 12th place for the day. Then-freshman
Hunter Paul placed 48th with a time of 20:18.2 on the 5K course while then-senior
Adela Hernandez placed 43rd.

Most recently, the Trojan men won the Little Rock Invitational while Lalang won the 8K for the third consecutive year with a time of 24:20.55. On the women's side,
Shanieke Watson won the 5K with a time of 17:51.88.

Little Rock will continue its postseason two weeks after the Sun Belt Championship with the NCAA South Central Regional in College Station, Texas, on Nov. 10.
