EL DORADO, Ark. – Little Rock made the most of moving day, jumping four spots over the second round of the Duck Commander Intercollegiate to sit tied for fifth among the 12-team field. The Trojans posted a 14-over 302 in round two, the second-lowest round of the day, and are at 38-over 614 through 36 holes of the event.
Little Rock once again is led by freshman
Aaron Ramos who is tied for sixth at 5-over 149 following a 3-over 75 Monday. But the low round of the day for Little Rock belonged to junior
Justin Warren who carded a 2-under 70 as Warren was the only player to register a sub-par round over round two. Warren sits in sole possession of ninth-place at 6-over 150.
Sophomore
Danial Durisic is tied for 27th at 12-over 156 following a 4-over 76 Monday, followed by freshman
Tiago Lobo's 15-over 159 after a 9-over 81. Junior
George Scanlon rounds out the Trojan scorecard at 23-over 167, shooting a 14-over 86 in round two.
Little Rock finds itself tied with Arkansas State after 36 holes as the Red Wolves dropped three spots following their 23-over 311. The Natural State duo is one shot ahead of seventh-place UT-San Antonio (39-over 615) and is two shots better than eighth-place Louisiana Tech (40-over 616).
The Trojans remain well within striking distance of the team title as just six shots separate the top eight teams in the competitive field. Eastern Kentucky holds the 36-hole lead at 34-over 610, one shot better than second-place Louisiana-Monroe's 35-over 611. Central Arkansas and UNC-Wilmington (37-over 613) are tied for third, one shot ahead of the Trojans and Red Wolves.
Tuesday's final round gets underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. as the Trojans will play with UNC-Wilmington and Arkansas State in the final round groupings. Live scoring of the event is available at Golfstat.com.
