LITTLE ROCK – After posting two double-doubles, 2.89 kills per set and 3.11 digs per set last week, Little Rock volleyball's
Mya Robinson was named the Sun Belt Conference's Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Robinson is the first Trojan in program history to earn the weekly conference honor.

Robinson began the weekend with a double-double performance against Georgia Southern as she racked up 13 kills, 18 digs and three block assists in the Trojans' four-set win against the Eagles. She then tallied her second double-double of the weekend against Georgia State as she put down 13 kills and 10 digs in Little Rock's comeback win over the Panthers.

The North Little Rock native has recorded six double-doubles this season — the most by a Trojan freshman since Edina Begic in 2011. For the year, Robinson has recorded 212 kills and 211 digs.

With a two-match winning streak in tow, Robinson and the Trojans will travel wrap up their road schedule at UT Arlington and Texas State on Friday and Sunday.
