HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. - Little Rock closed out the fall portion of its 2017-18 schedule tying for 11th at the 2017 Little Rock Golf Classic at Diamante Golf Club. The Trojans shot a 36-over 324 over the final 18 holes, finishing at 73-over 937 and tying for 11th among the 15-team field.

Senior Sabrina Bonanno finished tied for 16th individually, giving her a top-20 finish in all five fall events for Little Rock. Bonanno finished with a 13-over 229, including a 7-over 79 in round three, for the 18th top-20 showing of her Trojan career.

Sophomore Thea Wakeford-Wesmann tied for 34th with an 18-over 234, shooting a 10-over 82 in round three. She finished two shots ahead of junior Emelie Blennow's 20-over 236 after Blennow posted an 11-over 83. Senior Pernille Orlien (25-over 241) and junior Lucy Owen (35-over 251) rounded out the Trojan scorecard, shooting an 83 and 80 respectively.

Entering the day tied for eighth, Little Rock slipped three spots over the final round, finishing tied with Stephen F. Austin at 73-over 937. The Trojans missed a top-10 finish by one stroke, finishing one shot behind 10th-place Louisiana-Monroe's 72-over 936, while besting 13th-place Northern Iowa (76-over 940) by three shots.

Missouri State, which entered the final round in fourth, jumped three spots to capture the team title with a 44-over 908, defeating runner-up Central Arkansas (47-over 911)  by three shots. UTEP (49-over 913) finished third with Sam Houston State (50-over 914) and Houston Baptist (51-over 915) rounding out the top-five.

The tournament closes out the fall slate for Little Rock who registered a pair of top-10 finishes in a challenging schedule. The Trojans will return to action in February, traveling to Kyle, Texas, for the Texas State Invitational Feb. 12-13.
