LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Athletic Communications office has announced a pair of updates to the department.
Tyler Morrison has been promoted to the Associate Director of Athletic Communications with
Ryan Pavel joining the team as the Assistant Director/Video Coordinator.
Morrison has been with the Little Rock Athletic Department since 2014, beginning as a Communications Assistant before being promoted to an Assistant Director in 2016. The promotion will bring a slight shift in Morrison's duties as he will now serve as the primary contact for both the women's basketball and track and field/cross country teams while remaining with the Trojan volleyball program.
Morrison has been a key member of the Trojan communication staff for the past three years, being named an AVCA Sports Information Honoree for the Southwest Region in 2015. He led media efforts for the Little Rock volleyball program during their Sun Belt Conference championship and second round NCAA tournament run in 2014 while heading publicity efforts for a handful of All-Americans and All-Sun Belt Conference performers.
Pavel joins the Little Rock staff after spending time as a videographer and news editor at KBOI 2News in his hometown of Boise, Idaho. A 2016 University of Idaho graduate, Pavel was Idaho's correspondent for the Sun Belt RISE program as well as working as a videographer and editor for "Inside the Vandals."
Pavel's role will give him responsibility over the Trojan video efforts, helping enhance the department's presence online and through social media channels while assisting with game day video operations. He will also serve as the primary sport contact for the Trojan soccer, swimming and diving and baseball programs.
Rand Champion, Little Rock's Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, will continue to oversee communication efforts for the Trojan men's basketball and men's and women's golf programs as well as the day-to-day operations of the department's communication efforts.
