LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock's attack cannot find the net for a second straight game as they fall to the Troy Trojans 1-0 in Alabama. With that loss, Little Rock slips to 6-6-2 overall and 1-2-2 in Sun Belt Conference play, still trying to keep grasp at a postseason seeding.
The Little Rock Trojan's woes started in uneventful 1st half as the attack stalled out failing to even record a shot on net. The defense held its own though holding the Troy attack to only four shots and only one on goal, keeping the game at a 0-0 score heading into half.
The second half opened up quick as Troy Trojan's Julia Winter was able to get her head on the ball off a corner from Kiersten Edlund and find the back of the net to put the score at 1-0 in the 48th minute.
Little Rock would catch a break 10 minutes later as Troy's Nicole Strahl would see her 1st yellow in the 59th minute and then her second in the 60th giving her the red and putting Little Rock up a player for the rest of the game. This would prove to be little help as they would fall short of finding the net.
Sairra Tucker would lead Little Rock in shots on goal with two with the only other being
Morgan Smocovich's lone shot finding the target. Both Trojan's ended the game with 8 shots a piece with Troy edging Little Rock with shots on goal just barely 3-2, all three coming from Winter.
