Trojans To Hold Practice in Benton on October 19

LITTLE ROCK – As part of its commitment to being Little Rocks Team, the Trojan men and women basketball programs will hold a practice and autograph session on Thursday, October 19, at the Benton River Center.

"We are excited to bring the Little Rock Trojans to Benton on October 19," said Director of Athletics Chasse Conque. "Our university has a strong and longstanding partnership with the city of Benton and we look forward to a great evening at the River Center."

The practice will begin at 5 p.m. on October 19 as both teams will hold a scrimmage on their respective courts at the new facility in Saline County. Following the 30-45 minute practice, Trojans fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite Little Rock basketball players and coaches, getting autographs and pictures.

Little Rock will also have members of the dance team in attendance as well as the Trojan mascot for fans to meet and take pictures with. Fans in Saline County will be able to pick up some Trojan gear while getting information about tickets for the 2017-18 Little Rock basketball season at the Jack Stephens Center.

"This event will give folks in Saline County an opportunity to meet the Trojans and learn about all the exciting things happening with our basketball programs," Conque said. "We are grateful to our friends in Benton who are assisting with this effort and look forward to a great turnout on October 19."

Little Rock has already commenced practices for the 2017-18 season as we are just over a month from the start of the regular season. The Trojan men open up against Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, November 11, followed by the women's season opener on Sunday, November 12, facing Memphis. Both games will tip at 3 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center.
