FOLEY, Ala. – Little Rock looks to dethrone top seeded South Alabama in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinal match Friday at 4 p.m. at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.

First-Round Match:
Little Rock kept their season alive after playing a thriller first-round match against in-state rival Arkansas State Wednesday morning. Little Rock struggled to find the net early after ample opportunity and then found itself down 1-0 halfway through the second half.

The Trojans evened up the score in the 70
th minute when
Liesa Seifert took space with the ball near the midfield and whipped in a cross. To receive it was
Arola Aparicio Gili where she gathered the ball and shot it in the bottom right corner of the goal for her third goal on the year.

After two heart pounding overtimes the two teams could still not be separated and penalty kicks were going to decide the winner.
Megan Swanson shined in the goal for the Trojans saving two penalty shots and seeing a third go over the bar.
Sairra Tucker stepped up to the spot on Little Rock's fourth attempt to end the game. She smashed the ball into the side netting sending the Trojans onto the next round.

Last Match versus South Alabama:
Little Rock (9-8-3) takes on South Alabama (12-5-1) for a rematch game after the number one seeded Jaguars toppled the eighth seeded Appalachian State 2-0 Wednesday afternoon. The Trojans fell to the Jags 1-0 just six days ago in painful fashion after an 85
th minute goal broke a 0-0 draw.
Doro Greulich led the team with five out of the Trojans 15 shots but just couldn't sneak one in.
Liesa Seifert and
Arola Aparicio Gili each had two shots of their own and
Megan Swanson ended the game with six saves in net.

The game is a star-studded battle featuring six All-Conference First Team winners and four Second Team winner. For the Trojans, Greulich and Aparcio Gili took home the First Team accolocdes and Seifert with the Second Team.

South Alabama is led behind the play of Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, Rio Hardy, who scored 12 goals on the year and assisted three in the regular season and tallied another goal and assist in the first-round matchup versus the Mountaineers.

Other Jaguar First Team winners were Danielle Henley, Hannah Godfrey, and twin sister to Rio, Steffi Hardy. South Alabama Second Team winners were Kory Dixo, who scored the late goal versus Little rock, Selma Bjorgvinsdottir, and Chelsea Followwell.
