IOWA CITY, Iowa – Two school records fell for Little Rock swimming and diving at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships on Thursday at the University of Iowa Recreation and Wellness Center.

Emma Doll broke her own 50-yard freestyle record in the night's B-Final with a time of 23.49 — shaving .17 of a second off her previous school record. Doll finished 10th overall for the event.
Courtney Goff,
Courtney Coe and
Laura Ruiz Astorga each set a new personal-best time for the event.

The other record-breaking performance came in the 200-yard free relay. The team of Doll, Goff, Coe and Ruiz Astorga came in with time of 1:34.52. The time broke their previous record of 1:34.75 set at the Kansas Classic in November.

Tori Fryar had the top time for the Trojans in the 500-yard freestyle. Fryar swam a time of 4:58.99 in the evening's B-Final and finished 10th overall for the event.
Rachel Maradyn and
KateLin Carsrud also set new personal bests in the event.

In the 200-yard individual medley,
Imre van Huyssteen swam a time of 2:07.36 in the B-Final, but was a second faster in the morning's prelim with a time of 2:06.36 — a new personal best.
Ginger Bryant set a new personal best with a time of 2:07.49.

Trojan diver
Samantha Gray earned a score of 185.30 in the B-Final of the one-meter dive. Gray tallied a score of 185.70 in the one-meter prelim earlier in the day.

Through two days of competition, Little Rock is now in sixth place with 108 total points. Missouri State continues to lead with 296.5 points, and Southern Illinois is still in second with 235 points. Northern Iowa is currently third with 233 points while Evansville is fourth with 153 points. Illinois State moved up to fifth with 117.5 points, and Indiana State is seventh with 68 points.

Another busy day is lined up on Friday with the 400-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke, three-meter dive and 400-yard medley relay all taking place. Prelims are set to begin at 11 a.m., and finals will commence at 6 p.m.
