College Sports Madness Players of the Week
LITTLE ROCK – Trojan senior forward
Kaitlyn Pratt was named the CollegeSportsMadness.com Sun Belt Player of the Week, the website announced Monday morning.
Â
Pratt averaged 20.5 points per game in two Trojan victories this week, helping Little Rock beat Appalachian State on Thursday and Coastal Carolina on Saturday. Pratt was 17 of 23 from the field combined in those two games, shooting 73.9 percent.
Â
During Saturday's game against the Chanticleers, Pratt also hit a big career milestone, scoring her 1,000th career point. Pratt is averaging 17.3 points per conference game this year, a number that puts her third in the Sun Belt in that category.
Â
Monday marks Pratt's fourth CollegeSportsMadness.com Sun Belt Player of the Week award this season.
Sharde' Collins was also named the CSM Sun Belt Player of the Week last week.
Â
The senior helped Little Rock to their 11th straight victory, tying a program record for consecutive wins to begin conference play last set in 2010-11.
Â
The Trojans are alone in first place in the Sun Belt Conference at 11-0 with a 2.5-game lead over second-place UT Arlington and Troy. Little Rock will travel to UT Arlington for a Thursday game at 11:30 a.m. where the team will seek to break the program record for consecutive wins to start conference play.
