LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock travels to Muscle Shoals, Ala., for the 2017 Sun Belt Championship starting Monday, April 17.

This year the tournament returns to The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals, as The Fighting Joe Course will play host to the Sun Belt schools for the first time since 2013. The par-72 course will play at approximately 6,200 yards this week.

Monday's tee times begin at 8 a.m. Tee times on Tuesday and Wednesday will also start at 8 a.m., with the pairings on the final two days determined by the standings.

The Trojans placed sixth when the tournament was last played at The Shoals in 2013. Sofia Berglund led Little Rock by tying for ninth place at 7 over par.

Little Rock placed third as a team and
Shania Berger was the individual runner-up at the 2016 Sun Belt Championship at Raven Golf Club. Berger, who also captured All-Tournament honors, was tied for the lead through 54 holes before falling to Texas State's Maty Monzingo on the second playoff hole.

Berger enters this year's championship ranked fifth in the Sun Belt in score vs. par (+3.35). She has four top-10 finishes and a pair of top-five finishes on the season.

The Trojans come in at No. 163 in GolfStat.com's national rankings and are seventh in the Sun Belt in score vs. par. Coastal Carolina leads the league in that category and is ranked No. 75 nationally by GolfStat.
