Berger Third Through 36 Holes at Sun Belt Championship

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – Little Rock is in fourth place and Shania Berger is alone in third among individuals through 36 holes at the Sun Belt Championship.
 
Troy leads all teams at 12 over par. Georgia State moved three spots up the leaderboard on day two and will begin the final round in second place at 13 over. Texas State, the leader through 18 holes, is third at 14 over. Little Rock is in fourth place at 20 over par.
 
Berger, who is 1 under through two rounds, carded a 2-over 74 on day two at The Fighting Joe at The Shoals. She will enter the final round three strokes back of the lead. The Socorro, N.M., native parred 16 holes on Tuesday, but bogeyed two holes on the back nine.
 
Troy's Fatima Cano leads the field after shooting a 1-under 71 in her second round. Cano, who entered the round tied with Berger for third place, holds a one-stroke lead on second-place Sasikarn Somboonsup from Texas State. Following Berger in third place are four players tied for fourth at 1 over par.
 
Emelie Blennow shot a 4-over 76 on Tuesday and is tied for 10^th place at 4 over par. Sabrina Bonanno shot a 3-over 75 and is tied for 17^th at 6 over par. Pernille Orlien is 11 over par and Peyton Weaver is 13 over.
