Hoy Named Assistant Athletic Trainer

LITTLE ROCK – Jacob Hoy has been promoted to assistant athletic trainer, head athletic trainer Michael Neal announced on Tuesday.

"Jacob Hoy has been a valuable addition to the athletic training department," Neal said. "He is a very intelligent guy and a high-energy athletic trainer. Those are some of the things that drew me to him. I think he will do great with any sport he is involved with. It's a pleasure to have him on board and I look forward to great things from him in the future."

Hoy joined the Little Rock athletic training department as a graduate assistant in August 2015. He has spent the 2016-17 year working with soccer, track & field, cross country and baseball.

For two years before joining Little Rock, Hoy assisted in the medical coverage of various Division I athletes at the University of Central Arkansas with a primary focus on football, softball and men's soccer.

Prior to that, he served as an athletic training intern for Little Rock where he assisted in the medical coverage for the men's basketball, women's basketball, and baseball teams.

Hoy is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association, and Arkansas Athletic Trainers' Association. He became a Certified Athletic Trainer in May 2015 after successfully passing his Board of Certification exam.

He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Kinesiology and recently earned his master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
