Trojans Set to Run at Chile Pepper Festival

LITTLE ROCK – After three weeks off, Little Rock's cross country team will head to Fayetteville for the 29th Annual Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday.

The men's 10K race will take place at 9:45 a.m. and the women's 5K race will begin at 10:20 a.m. The men's race will be the Trojans' longest of the season to this point while this will be the second 5K the women have competed in this season.

Little Rock's last meet occurred at the UCA XC Challenge on Sept. 9. There, Isaac Lalang won the men's race while the Trojans placed second for the day. On the women's side, freshman Hannah Manning turned in Little Rock's top performance as she finished eighth while the team as a whole finished fifth.

This will be Little Rock's final regular-season meet on the road as the team comes home for the Little Rock Invitational at Rebsamen Golf Course on Oct. 14.
