LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock swimming and diving was picked to finish sixth in the 2017-18 Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Coaches Poll released by the league on Thursday morning.

The Trojans garnered 26 points — one point behind fifth-place Evansville and 10 points ahead of seventh-place Indiana State.

Missouri State was picked to win the league championship with 64 points while Southern Illinois was picked second with 55. Northern Iowa took third with 48 points, and Illinois State was picked fourth with 39 points. Rounding out the field in eighth-place was MVC newcomer Valparaiso with 13 points.

Little Rock will begin the 2017-18 season at the North Texas Relays in Lewisville, Texas, on Friday at 4 p.m.
