LITTLE ROCK – In a battle for first place in the Sun Belt Conference, Little Rock women's basketball (8-8, 5-0 Sun Belt) will host second-place Texas State (11-5, 4-1 Sun Belt) in their lone regular-season meeting at 3 p.m., on Sunday at the Jack Stephens Center.

Saturday will be ACH Night at the Jack as $2 from every ticket sold will benefit the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Little Rock holds an 8-5 series lead over Texas State since the beginning of the series in 1987-88, and in five home games against the Bobcats, the Trojans have yet to lose a game. Texas State gave the Trojans their lone Sun Belt loss last season as they won 64-47 in San Marcos. Saturday will mark the Bobcats' first trip to Little Rock in nearly two years as they last met at the Jack on Feb. 27, 2016. The Trojans won that game 57-45.

The Bobcats come into Saturday with a three-game winning streak after defeating Arkansas State 67-55 on Thursday. Last weekend, they defeated both South Alabama and Troy at home after taking their only Sun Belt loss at Coastal Carolina the week before.

  • The winner of Saturday's game will own the regular-season tiebreaker as the Trojans and Bobcats meet just once this season.
  • Little Rock is 40-1 against Sun Belt opponents at the Jack since 2013-14.
  • The Trojans have won 21 consecutive games against Sun Belt opponents at the Jack.
  • Little Rock has won 10 consecutive Sun Belt games dating back to last season.
  • With a win on Saturday, Little Rock will be 100-12 in Sun Belt games at the Jack since the building opened in 2005.
  • Little Rock is 8-5 against Texas State and 5-0 when playing the Bobcats at home.
  • Ronjanae DeGray's 53.5 field-goal percentage ranks first in the Sun Belt and 60th nationally.
  • Little Rock has the best scoring defense in the Sun Belt and 22nd-best nationally at 56.1 points allowed per game.
  • The Trojans have the best free-throw percentage in the Sun Belt and rank 30th nationally at 75.6 percent.
  • Monique Townson is 23 minutes shy of 3,000 for her career — the 11th-most by a Trojan since 2001.
  • This is just the third time in the Division I era that Little Rock has started a season at 8-8, with the last coming in 2013-14.
  • This is the second consecutive season in which Little Rock has begun conference play at 5-0 and fifth time overall.
  • Little Rock has advanced to the NCAA Tournament or WNIT in its last four 5-0 Sun Belt starts.
  • With a Little Rock win over Texas State and an Arkansas State loss to UT Arlington, Joe Foley will match Brian Boyer for the most Sun Belt wins in conference history at 179.

Little Rock will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 20 to face rival Arkansas State at the Jack. The opening tip is scheduled for 3 p.m.
