BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Little Rock men's indoor track and field team earned an event win as they continued their season at the Samford Open on Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex.

On Friday night, junior transfer
Charles Okeze won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.43 — the sixth-fastest time in school history — in his first event with Little Rock.
Travion Clark and
Ch'kilas Calhoun finished sixth and eighth with times of 22.12 and 22.22, respectively.

After winning the 200-meter dash on Friday night, Okeze took sixth in the finals of the 60-meter dash on Saturday with a time of 6.94 — sixth-fastest in school history.
Keshawn Andrews finished in seven second flat for the ninth-fastest time in program history.
Emmanuel Olie finished in 7.13 seconds.

Jaelon Gossett finished with a time of 8.89 in the 60-meter hurdles — the third-fastest time in school history.
Max Holzmueller finished right behind Gossett with a time of 8.93 to take the fourth-fast time in program history.

Holzmueller had a distance of 10.27 meters in the shot put and finished 14th.

Clark was the fastest of the three Trojans in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.73.
Jalen Black and Calhoun each recorded times of 50.51 and 50.53, respectively.

Emilio Medina and
Rogelio Araiza came in with a time of 9:11.32 and 9:16.99, respectively, in the 3,000-meter run.

Noah Smith recorded a time of 1:59.68 in the 800-meter run.
Hunter Tucker and Garret Rokas came in with times of 2:03.62 and 2:08.66.

Imad Amenzou finished with a time of 4:40.04 in the one-mile run while Tucker had a time of 4:51.19.

Little Rock will return to action at the A-State Invitational & Multis on Friday and Saturday in Jonesboro.
