JONESBORO, Ark. – Through one day of the A-State Invitational & Multis, Little Rock's women's indoor track and field squad managed to tally an event win with two finishes ranking inside the program's all-time top-10 performances on Friday at First National Bank Arena.

Shanieke Watson won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:13.38 — the eighth-fastest time in school history. Watson beat second place by 15.5 seconds.

Nicole Edison took fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.12 meters (16' 9.75") — the seventh-most in school history.

Christina Nickerson was Little Rock's top finisher in the 200-meter dash as she crossed the line in 25.68 seconds.

Ka Neisha Jackson finished in the top 10 with times of 25.89, 25.91 and 26.19, respectively.
Brandi Allen and
Jessica Gray finished 11th and 12th with times of 26.33 and 26.48, respectively.

Little Rock will finish up the meet on Saturday with field events beginning at 11 a.m. and track prelims beginning at 11:30 a.m.
