Trojans to Participate in Sun Belt Fights Cancer

LITTLE ROCK – Once again, Little Rock basketball will team up with the Sun Belt Conference and the American Cancer Society to create a conference-wide partnership – Sun Belt Fights Cancer (SunBeltFightsCancer.org) – through the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.

Coaches vs. Cancer's Suits & Sneakers
Each Sun Belt Conference institution is participating in both the Coaches vs. Cancer's Suits & Sneakers Week, as well as a Three-Point Challenge during the month of February. Little Rock's participation in the event will be Thursday's games against Georgia Southern as both the men's and women's coaches will swap in their dress shoes for sneakers.

Go4TheGoal
The gold laces are part of the Go4TheGoal initiative, aimed at improving the lives of children battling pediatric cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research and granting personal wishes. Created in 2011, the teams of every sport and level across the country have Laced Up to raise awareness for children with cancer. For more information on the Goal4TheGoal initiative, visit Go4TheGoal.org.

In addition to the gold laces, which will be a nice complement to the throwback maroon and gold jerseys the Trojans will be wearing, coaches will be wearing an exclusive Coaches vs. Cancer tie designed by Vineyard Vines.

3-Point Challenge
During the month of February, Sun Belt men's and women's teams will also participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge. The conference and its member schools encourage fans, corporate partners and media to join the excitement by teaming up with your favorite team to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Fans have the opportunity to pledge a dollar amount for every three-pointer made by the Trojans during the month of February by clicking on the 3PointChallenge.org link on SunBeltFightsCancer.org. The funds raised will help the American Cancer Society continue its mission to improving and saving lives by doing the most to help people with cancer today while working tirelessly to find cures for the disease tomorrow. Fans can follow the 3-Point Challenge competition nationally at 3PointChallenge.org/College.
