Little Rock Ready For MVC Championship

LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock swimming and diving will take the pool Feb. 14-17 for the Missouri Valley Championship in Iowa City, Iowa. The event will take place at the University of Iowa Recreation/Wellness Center Natatorium and will hosted by the University of Northern Iowa.
 
Live streaming of the finals will available each day of the championship on the Missouri Valley Conference's YouTube channel. Coverage begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday's coverage will begin at 5 p.m.
 
The Trojans and Indiana State tied for sixth in the pre-championship polls that were released last Friday. Head coach Amy Burgess is confident in her team going forward after having a very tough and competitive winter schedule.
 
"It really helps us to prepare going in to see who we are going to compete against, who's at the top, where do we need to be," Burgess said. "That's where we are reaching. We are getting our program better and better every year and the goal is to get there. To have these teams come in and be competitive shows them what level they can be at."
 
Relay events for the championship begin on Wednesday at 6 p.m. while preliminaries for the individual events begin on Thursday at 11 a.m.
