Justin Warren posted a 1-under 71 over the opening 18 holes, leading Little Rock to a 7-over 295 after round one of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. The 295 has the Trojans tied for 13th overall among the 23-team field.

Warren's 71 marks his team-best seventh round of par-or-better this season, one shy of his career-best 70. Beginning on hole 10, Warren bogeyed 14 before registering birdies on both 18 and one, finishing with eight-straight pars to close out the round and giving him 15 on the day, tied for the most among the 135-player field.
Freshman
Trueman Park placed second for the Trojans with a 1-over 73, his best round as a Trojan. Park posted a 3-over 39 over his first nine holes before carding a 2-under 34 over the back nine, sitting tied for 33rd overall. He finished one shot better than sophomore
Logan Pate's 2-over 74 as Pate finished even over his final nine holes.

Aaron Ramos registered a 5-over 77 in his opening round with sophomore
Danial Durisic carding a 9-over 81 to round out the scoring for the Trojans.
Little Rock finishes day one tied with Loyola Marymount at 7-over 295, one shot back of 12th-place Boise State's 6-over 294. The Trojans sit in prime position to make a run on moving day, entering round two two shots back of both Old Dominion and TCU (5-over 293) in 10th-place and are three shots out of seventh, which features a three-way tie between Kansas, UT Arlington and Southern Illinois (4-over 292).
California holds a commanding lead after 18 holes, shooting a 13-under 275 and leading second-place Texas Tech (4-under 284) by nine strokes. Colorado (1-under 287) was the only other team to finish under par, sitting third, with UCLA (1-over 289) fourth and Tennessee and UC Riverside (2-over 290) tied for fifth.
Little Rock's second round will begin at 10:40 a.m. CT Saturday as the Trojans will be among the last foursome to tee off on hole 10. Little Rock will be paired with Idaho, Old Dominion and individuals, beginning with Durisic's 10:40 a.m. CT tee time and leading up to Warren getting underway at 11:20 a.m. CT.
