Little Rock Readies for SBC Indoor Championships

LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock's men's and women's indoor track and field teams will compete in the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships beginning on Monday, Feb. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
 
Live coverage on ESPN3 is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. (CT) on Monday and 12:30 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday.
 
The championships begin at 9 a.m. (CT) on Monday with the combined events, beginning with the heptathlon. Field events begin at Noon (CT) with running events starting at 4:15 p.m. (CT).Tuesday will see the rest of the heptathlon events at 9 a.m. (CT) followed by pentathlon at 9:20 a.m. (CT). Field events begin at Noon (CT) with the final running events starting at 1:45 p.m. (CT). The awards presentation is scheduled to begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. (CT).
 
Little Rock should be very familiar with the championship venue after competing at the Birmingham CrossPlex twice this season. The Trojans competed in the Samford Open in mid-January and returned to the CrossPlex at the beginning of February for the Jaguar Invitational.
 
Last season, Little Rock's men finished eighth with 25 points while Little Rock's women took 10th with 20 points.
