SAN ANTONIO, Texas – An even-par 288 over the afternoon round helped vault Little Rock into a tie for fourth in the team standings following the opening day of the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio. The Trojans sit at 5-over 581, just three shots back of second place.

In round one, the Trojans posted a 5-over 293, closing out the opening 18 holes in ninth-place among the 15-team field. The Little Rock effort was led by freshman
Aaron Ramos' 2-under 70, one off his career-low and the eighth par-or-better round of his Trojan career to date. Ramos was tied for seventh among the 85-player field after round one.
Junior
Justin Warren notched an even-par 72 over the morning round for his 11th par-or-better round this season. He held a three-stroke edge on sophomore
Logan Pate, who posted a 3-over 75 over the first 18 holes.
Pate would respond in the afternoon round to card a 2-under 70, matching Ramos for the team low as he posted his sixth round of par-or-better this season. Pate and Ramos were joined in the 70 club by freshman
Tiago Lobo, whose 2-under over the afternoon round marked the fourth par-or-better round of his Little Rock career.
Ramos finished with a 2-over 74 in round two, putting him at even-par 144 through 18 holes and tied for 12th individually. Pate's 70 moved him to 1-over 145, tied for 20th overall, while Warren and Lobo sit third on the Trojan scorecard at 2-over 146, tied for 27th overall. Sophomore
Danial Durisic struggled on day one, posting a 13-over 157.
The even-par showing in round two vaulted Little Rock five spots in the team standings as it sits tied in a three-way tie with New Mexico State and host UT-San Antonio at 5-over. The trio trails both UTEP and rival Arkansas State, which are tied for second at 2-over 278, while leading both Rice and ULM by one stroke after the pair posted a 6-over 582.
Oklahoma holds a commanding lead after 36 holes, shooting an 11-under 565 and holds a 13-stroke lead on both the Miners and Red Wolves.
