SANDESTIN, Fla. – Little Rock's 2017-18 season came to a close in Florida as the Trojans finished 10th at the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championship at Raven Golf Club.

Little Rock posted its best round of the week over the final 18 holes, shooting a 27-over 315 in the final round Tuesday. That effort was led by a 2-over 74 by senior
Sabrina Bonanno in her final collegiate round as she once again led the Trojans with an 18-over 234, tying for 33rd overall. Bonanno closes her final season as a Trojan as the top Little Rock finisher in eight of the 11 events on the year, finishing as the team's runner-up in the other three.
Junior
Emelie Blennow finished second on the Trojan scorecard with a 25-over 241, sitting in sole possession of 39th with a final round 8-over 80. Blennow finished four shots better than junior
Lucy Owen and senior
Pernille Orlien's 29-over 245 as Owen carded a 7-over 79 over the final round with Orlien shooting an 11-over 83. Sophomore
Thea Wakeford-Wesmann closed out the Trojan scorecard with a 32-over 248, posting a 10-over 82 over the final round.
Bonanno proved to be one of the event's top players on the par-five holes finishing at 1-over with a 5.08 average, tying for seventh among the field. She also finished with a team-best 32 pars, tied for 17th overall. Blennow was the Trojans' top performer on the par-fours, sitting at 7-over with a 4.26 scoring average, ranking tied for eighth overall.
Entering the day in 10th-place, Little Rock held its ground over the final round, defeating 11th-place ULM (115-over 967) by six shots. The Trojans finished 31 shots back of ninth-place Appalachian State (78-over 930), which pulled away over the final 18 holes.
Coastal Carolina cruised to the team championship at 20-over 872, defeating second-place Troy (54-over 906) by 34 shots to capture the title. Georgia Southern (62-over 914) finished third with Texas State (63-over 915) finishing fourth and South Alabama, Arkansas State and Georgia State finishing in a three-way tie for fifth at 69-over 921.
With the 2017-18 season now wrapped up, Little Rock can look back at a strong effort, posting seven top-10 team finishes, including in each of the final five tournaments of the year. As a team,the Trojans combined to post eight top-10 and an additional 11 top-20 individual finishes, led by Bonanno's five top-10 and four top-20 showings to close out her Trojan career.
