Durisic Tied For 11th After Day One in Washington

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Little Rock is tied for ninth after the opening 36 holes of the Seattle University Redhawk Invitational. The Trojans posted a 42-over 610 on day one, sitting in a three-way tie for ninth.

In the opening round of the day, Little Rock posted an 11-over 295, sitting in fourth among the 17-team field. The effort was led by a 1-under 70 from Logan Pate as Justin Warren shot a 3-over 74 with Aaron Ramos adding a 4-over 75.

But as temperatures and winds rose in the afternoon round, so did Little Rock's scores as the Trojans add 20 strokes to their opening round total, shooting a 31-over 315 and slipping into the tie for ninth. Danial Durisic was the lone Trojan to break 80 in round two, shooting a 1-over 72 to place Little Rock.

With 36 holes in the books, Durisic is tied for 11th among the individual standings at 6-over 148 (76-72), followed by Warren's 12-over 154 (74-80), tied for 40th. He leads Pate by one stroke as the sophomore carded a 13-over 155 (70-85). Aaron Ramos' 14-over 156 (75-81) and Tiago Lobo's 16-over 158 (76-82) rounds out the Trojan scorecard.

Lobo did make his mark on the par-three scoring, tied for the tournament lead at 1-under. Durisic was efficient on the par-fives for Little Rock, also tied for the tournament lead at 2-under. He also registered three birdies in the opening two rounds.

Heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes, Little Rock is tied with host Seattle and Idaho in ninth at 43-over 610, leading 12th-place Boise State (43-over 611) by one stroke. The trio currently sits four shots behind both Weber State and Fraser Valley, who are tied for seventh at 38-over 606.

San Francisco holds the team lead at 15-over 583, 11 shots better than UC-Santa Barbara's 26-over 594. Cal State-Northridge and George Washington (32-over 600) are tied for third with Utah Valley (33-over 601) and Long Beach State (36-over 604) rounding out the top-six.

The final 18 holes will get underway with a 10 a.m. CT shotgun start Tuesday morning as Little Rock will play with the two Idaho schools (Boise State and Idaho) in the final round pairings, starting on holes 9 through 11. Live scoring of the event is available at BirdieFire.com.
